At the Oasis we believe that prayer is a spiritual activity involving communication that takes us to the presence of God to obtain divine enablement through edification and supply of spiritual weapons as well as access from God to counteract the activities of the devil and establish the will of God on earth. It is the vital breath of the church, the element that makes earth control heaven, and paves way for God to intervene in the affairs of His people. Jesus modeled for us the magnitude of waiting upon God for directions and to bring His plans and purposes into manifestation. The apostles understood this principle as an indispensable element in our walk with the Lord, Jesus Christ, hence devoted themselves to God in prayer. We likewise know that God has appointed us to be watchmen over His vineyard, therefore we:
- remind Him concerning His will and promises for us,
- labor for Christ to be formed in us,
- wrestle and contend day and night against the works of the devil, and
- give God no rest until He establishes and makes the church a praise on the earth.
